We will spend most of this section diving down into the details of designing and monitoring restoration projects with beaver. We will present examples about how we have done this with Bridge Creek in Oregon. In the 3-day workshop, we will then head out in the field and look at a river restoration project on Curtis Creek that was built with your standard Tonka toy approach, but in which beaver colonized the site after it was built. We'll then look at a reach of river without active beaver, and use that as an example site for you to do a mock beaver restoration design exercise for. We will spend the later half of the afternoon, working on designs, and then sharing them with the class in the field.
